For decades we have been used to moving around the world, reaching even the most remote corners of the planet to forge professional and trusting relationships with different players. However, this year we have decided not to go too far and to land in Tuscany to collaborate with a reality that, at least at first glance, seems to have no point in common with Kapriol. We are talking about the "Le Rogaie" farm which, in the splendid setting of the Maremma, near Grosseto, works in close contact with the earth and nature. The main activity of "Le Rogaie" is the breeding of dairy cows, but it also deals with crops, above all that of olive trees. Tasks narrated and explained on social channels, with videos and posts where love for the land exudes but also the commitment that such a job entails, making it rediscover or get to know for the first time. And it is precisely in the activities that the farm carries out every day that we will insert ourselves, making Kapriol-branded clothing, tools and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) available for all those who undertake to carry it forward with good will, commitment and dedication. But what do a world linked to the environment like that of "Le Rogaie" has in common with the building context in which Kapriol operates? Many and small aspects, starting from the relationship with the roots, shared and told daily through actions and choices, emphasized even more by being both family-run businesses, linked to their history. With respect to the products offered, both we and "Le Rogaie" put quality first, not only in what we produce but also in the authentic relationships we form, whether they are with customers or with nature and animals. However, having solid roots does not make us give up dreaming of the future and making it more and more present every moment that passes, putting into play passion and a great desire to innovate and progress to reach new goals. In this, the Kapriol family and that of "Le Rogaie" are very similar. In the midst of this horizon, Kapriol and Le Rogaie see the word 'green' stand out. Doing business while respecting the environment will become an indispensable practice to ensure the survival of the planet. "Le Rogaie" fully expresses the intention of safeguarding the environment, moving in full respect of the context that surrounds it. Like Kapriol, we have also embarked on this journey by joining the Treedom project, but the collaboration with the farm represents a further step in continuing on this path and creating a better future. Let us not forget that man is an integrated part of this change, both positively and negatively: it is he who interacts directly with the environment, whether he has regard for it or not. By deciding to accompany "Le Rogaie" in the daily toil, dressing and equipping the workers, we choose to embrace a larger and more universal ethical cause, supporting a reality that takes care of the land, plants and animals and does not exploit them intensively to produce raw materials. Sustainability, as well as through the production process, can also pass through other ways, such as human and collaborative relationships. Now, thanks to the new partnership with Le Rogaie, Kapriol orange shades will appear among the Maremma earth colours.
OEKO-TEX: a safety sign on Kapriol clothing
27 gennaio 2023

The search for high quality garments has grown enormously, we no longer look only at how affordable a garment is, but we also pay more attention to the durability and composition of the materials with which it was produced.
At Kapriol we are promoters of this vision, enriching it with a further aspect that underlines not only the care we take in proposing quality, functional and durable garments, but also the attention to protecting the health of the wearer. It's hard to imagine what the correlation between clothing and well-being could be: apparently none, until we focus on the sensation we feel when we wear our garments.
First of all, it must be emphasized that what we wear inevitably comes into contact with the skin, therefore the types of materials that make-up the garment become absolutely relevant for our well-being and our health. It is possible that harmful chemical substances are used to produce certain fabrics and accessories, which can cause damage to the health of the wearer and the environment over time, precisely due to the release of these substances.
Among the essential requirements of Kapriol clothing there is also the harmlessness of the product. In our garments there are no substances harmful to the skin or to the health of the wearer. To certify it there is not only our word, but a hangtag: OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. OEKO-TEX® is a unique certification and control standard in the sector of textile raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, which marks products that do not present risks to consumer health and damage to the environment.
Given the innumerable types of labels that can be granted, it becomes difficult to understand exactly how to read them and what meaning they contain. We can help you with this: on Kapriol garments there is a hangtag with the wording OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. What does it mean? It means that each component of the product (fabrics, thread, plastic and metal parts such as zips and buttons, fabric or rubber labels) has been tested for harmful substances by neutral and independent institutes that work closely with OEKO- TEX. Not only that, the issue of the certificate, highlighted by the hangtag hanging from the garment, testifies that the tests have been passed, and therefore the garment is harmless to human health. All this based on well-defined and continuously updated standards according to the innovations that occur from time to time both at a scientific and legislative level.
It's not easy to pass the stringent OEKO-TEX criteria: linings, outer material and seams, zippers, even prints…everything is properly inspected for the thing we care most about: your safety.
As further confirmation, OEKO-TEX provides buyers with the possibility of verifying whether the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate relating to that garment is valid. To do this, just enter the number shown on the hangtag on the OEKO-TEX website. Try it with Kapriol products too!
Despite the tests passed, transparency and traceability always remain our prerogative, and we want to give you the opportunity to verify them every day with your own eyes. The web address is also available on the hangtag affixed to the garment, which together with the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 logo, the certification number and the name of the certifying body that conducted the analysis, is part of the mandatory elements certifying the regularity of the certificate.
The numeric code also identifies the class to which the product belongs, based on the intensity of contact with the skin, and the area of use: in the case of Kapriol, the Work wear section.
It is important to highlight that the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 hangtag certifies the production chain, i.e. compliance with the standards of harmlessness from the packaging to the materials: each actor in the process (the manufacture and the producer of fabrics, zips, buttons, labels) is Oekotex certified.
To create a quality product, we start with fabrics, but the risk of compromising an excellent material, and even more the well-being of those who will wear it, is decidedly high. The verification process does not only involve synthetic fibers, as one would naturally think, but also natural ones. In fact, it is far from impossible to intensively use chemical fertilizers during the cultivation of the cotton used to produce clothing, which could lead to allergic reactions. By applying the OEKO-TEX label to our garments, the commitment we take on as Kapriol is to be credible in all circumstances, thus building and maintaining a relationship based on total trust with our customers.
And if you are in doubt, remember that everything is always just a click away.
